SMCL 547L Introduction to Leadership Coaching at EMU Lancaster (Hybrid Course – 2 credits)
This course fosters a coaching mindset and skills which help prepare leaders to lead more effectively in a complex and generative 21st century context. Coaching skills sharpen self-awareness, deepen team building, and cultivate ministry and workplace effectiveness.
Schedule: On-site dates are: January 19-20 (9:00-5:00 each day) and March 9-10(9:00-5:00 each day). Course end date is May 3, 2018.

More about the instructor:
Christine serves churches and organizations (local and global) as a professional coach, trainer and developer of individuals and teams, mission and vision coaching, strategic planning, conflict resolution, etc. She holds an MA in Global Organizational Leadership, and is a PhD (candidate) in Organizational Leadership at Regent University. In addition, Christine has a Professional Coach certification (PCC) from the International Coaching Federation, and is an Ordained Pastor in the Brethren In Christ Church (US).
Christine currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Eastern Mennonite University, Evangelical Theological Seminary, and Tabor College (Kansas), teaching in the areas of Leadership Development, Coaching, Culture & Context, Mission and Evangelism, and Pastoral Ministry.
Christine served in ministry at Global Disciples as an Associate Director/Leadership Development Specialist, focusing on training, development, and coaching of indigenous church leaders and pastors across Asia and Africa. Prior to this assignment, Christine served as the Executive Director of Brethren In Christ World Missions (BICWM), giving oversight to vision casting, human resources, finance, missionary training, deployment and care, as well as internationally partnering in strategic planning, church development, and conflict resolution with Brethren In Christ churches around the world.
Christine served in two local congregations. At Pequea BIC Church in Lancaster, PA she served as the Senior Associate Pastor, and at Mechanicsburg BIC as Church Administrator & Director of Children’s Ministries.
