It’s time to think about summer and our gathering at Celebration of Congregations and Conference which will be held at Laurelville Retreat Center on August 1-3, 2025. Greg Yoder, member of Walking Roots Band and co-founder of the Soil and the Seed project, will be our music resource person for the weekend. Amy Yoder McGloughlin, Conference Minister, will be the preacher on Saturday night and Sunday morning. We’ll focus our time and energy around the theme of “We were made for such a time as this”, with worship and seminars encouraging us to think about our equipping for this moment. There will be a conference business meeting Saturday morning but this weekend is mostly about celebrating our congregational and conference life together. All are welcome!
Celebration extends a special welcome to children and youth this summer. From creating a drama to joining in hikes and service projects to singing hymns, we’re hoping to create lots of spaces where all generations can worship, learn and fellowship in each other’s company. There will still be plenty of fun activities just for kids and youth, and nursery care is provided for all adult sessions, but the goal is a truly intergenerational gathering where we ponder together what we are called to “for such a time as this!”
