DESCRIPTION:Allegheny Mennonite Conference is hosting a Healthy Boundaries Training which will be held on August 1st from 10 to 4 at Laurelville Retreat Center (in the small dining room)\, Mount Pleasant\, PA. The input person will be Michael Danner\, Associate Executive Director for Church Vitality for Mennonite Church\, USA. The cost of the noon meal will be $15.00. Please register for this by July 15th by emailing office@alleghenymennoniteconference.org.\n\nNew MCUSA policy states that anyone with active credentials (as in not retired credentials) should be taking this training every five years. This may be different from what Amy has said to you recently\, and that’s because there have been some changes in recent months to the policy. If you are a chaplain\, you may already be receiving this training through your employer—if that’s the case\, please provide documentation of that to the conference office as soon as possible.\n\nIf you cannot attend this training\, we will be letting you know about other healthy boundary trainings as they come up.

Her work focuses on the literature of the Hebrew Bible\, especially its poetry\, examining its significance in the ancient context and its legacy for the contemporary world. Guiding her research are questions about how artistic literary practices shape ethical and theological thought\, especially around issues of land\, ecology\, gender and sexuality. Her book\, Landscapes the Song of Songs (Oxford University Press\, 2017) is an exploration of how the Song of Songs conceptualizes the natural world. \nDr. James earned her PhD and MDiv from Princeton Theological Semi-nary. Before joining the faculty at\nPrinceton\, Dr. James previously served as Associate Professor of The-ology at St. Catherine University in St. Paul\, Minnesota. \nThe cost is $195.00 per person\, early registration before March 1st. \n\nIf registering between March 1 – April 15 the cost is $220.00 per person \nCost includes\, registration\, meals\, and lodg-ing at Laurelville Mennonite Church Center.\nLodging will be in the Lodge. Bring your own linens (bedding for single beds\,  pillow\, towels). (You may upgrade to a room at the Motel for a total additional fee of $75.00—a limited number of rooms are available on a first come basis)\nIf you are unable to attend the full event\, part-time registrations are accepted.
